I found this on TheKnot.com, and I my heart fluttered :) This is THE DRESS. At least the one I really want to try on for the Vow Renewal. It's drop dead gorgeous. Of course, with my luck, I won't be able to find it in a few years.

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk

This one's for those with kiddies - homemade sidewalk chalk! I love chalk. I've loved it since I was little. And I know, it's fairly cheap to buy at the store. But what if you want a color the store doesn't have? Or you want to make multicolored chalk, but don't like the mixes at the store? Or better yet, you hate the size of the chalk - they are so small, and run out fast! My plain is to make chalk. I hope that when we finally have kids I'll be able to be the awesome, artsy-fartsy mom that does stuff like this. *Here's to hoping!*

Kusudama paper balls

I've seen these paper balls before, and I've always thought they were cool. I really like the tutorial on this website. (If you follow the directions, to get from step 6 to step 7, pull the corner out of the fold and press flat - this will make more sense when reading the tutorial!) Clicking on the picture will take you to the site, as well as the link below it :)

I can see these in different sizes, red, black and white, hanging from the ceiling above my mantle. If I actually ever do it, I'll post pics.

Glow in the Dark Flowers

Ok, I'm not kidding - these flowers are real. Remember back to elementary school for a moment - when we took flowers, but food coloring in the water, and watched them change colors? Well it's like that, but only SO MUCH COOLER!

So what's the point of this blog?

Well, I'm not totally sure. The main point is to keep a record of all the cool things I see that I want to recreate or experience or use at some point in the future. I realize that most of these things will stay in my dreams, but I still don't want to forget them.

There will be four major categories (so far):
> Around the House
> All Things Baby
> Vow Renewal Ceremony
> Travel

I really think I would be a great designer, wedding planner, or travel agent, but I would never be able to deal with bridezillas or obsessive compulsives.
